Black lives matter

Updated: Jun 13, 2020

This was not the type of post I intended to write this week or any week for that matter. I'm not political but sometimes when things get this bad I refer to the murder of George Floyd and the thousands of black ethnic minorities living in Western countries who are putting up with indignities left right and centre just because they are black, living in a predominantly white culture. We are all one. One race, one hope, and one people. I hope and pray that one day we will all see that and work towards the day when we can stop using skin colour as a means to oppress and dominate one group of people over another.

Dear heavenly Father,

We pray that your son who came to set the captives free will free black ethnic minorities from the tyranny of being treated with deferential treatment because of the colour of their skin. We pray for peace, justice and goodwill to all peoples on earth.

In Jesus name
