It’s the weekend
You might be feeling worn out and drawn. You may be going through some hardship, or illness. You may not know what tomorrow may hold. But this is the day that the Lord has made. Each new day is a blessing and an opportunity for the Lord to bless you.
Let us give thanks for today for what we have, and pray for what we need as opposed to what we want. His mercies are renewed with each passing day his word says he will never leave us or forsake us.
Let us end with the Prayer that Jesus taught us in scripture.
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom
and the power and the glory forever.
God bless you all today
The image was a line drawing from a colouring book I found called Pepin Press which features some of the old Dutch Masters. I sometimes like to do non commercial mindful fun stuff to strengthen my techniques, style and colour as a change to working with digital watercolours or oils. This still life came out very vivid so I decided to animate it to enhance the colours.
The colouring pencils used were Faber castell Polychromos pencils for those of you who are interested and would like to have a go yourselves. I think that colouring is a great way to relax the mind and a wonderful opportunity to talk to the Lord and spend quality time.
